With Easter approaching, East Point City, the flagship mall of Sun Hung Kai Properties in Tseung Kwan O, has specially planned the 'East Point City x Ian the Rabbit Easter Egg Hunt Festival', which will bring a festive celebration of photo ops, shopping and fun to the public from 17 April to 6 May. East Point City is collaborating for the first time with Ian the Rabbit, a popular local illustrated character, to create a giant Easter installation over 3 meters tall, along with colourful egg decorations, instantly transforming the atrium into a springtime photo spot, offering delightful festival experiences for families.
This festival will also feature a special pop-up store for Ian the Rabbit, offering over 20 themed products, including Ian the Rabbit amulets, badges, earrings and more, which are both aesthetically pleasing and practical. Some of the merchandise will also be available for the first time at the event venue. The pop-up store will also introduce Hong Kong's first-ever 'Ian the Rabbit Lucky Egg Catcher', where The Point members can earn one token for every HK$100 spent at the mall, for a chance to win limited-edition Ian the Rabbit keychains.
In addition, the Easter Egg Hunt Festival has carefully selected over 40 unique and popular brands to offer shoppers a distinctive experience. Foodies should not miss Sun Heung Garden Cake Shop, a traditional brand with a 40-year history, famous for its handmade Ma Chai; Sugar Brothers, the first bakery in Hong Kong to offer alphabet Napoleon cakes; the melt-in-your-mouth treats of Sam Kee Tea Restaurant; and Poppop Rangers, which offers unique flavoured popcorn made on the spot. For creative gifts, there is The Scentist, a local fragrance brand; Japanese handmade fabric brand Mian Sui, which offers wallets; and Pet Tune, which has a dedicated pet zone with clothing for furry friends.
During the Easter period, the mall will host a series of festive activities. The beloved Ian the Rabbit will be making appearances at the mall on 18, 20 and 21 April for meet-and-greets with fans and to hand out small Easter gifts. There will also be magic shows, face painting, busking and clown balloon twisting on select dates, all free for customers to join. Ian the Rabbit will be transformed into a tour guide to lead everyone through the festival. There will be a pop-up store on-site offering over 20 special edition Ian the Rabbit products, including magical mushroom decorations, amulets, badges, lens wipes, washi tape, earrings, file folders and more, all exquisite and practical. Some items, such as the phone lanyards with clips and bubble stickers, will be available first at the East Point City pop-up store, so fans shouldn't miss out!
The pop-up store will also feature Hong Kong's first-ever 'Ian the Rabbit Lucky Egg Catcher'. The Point members simply need to spend HK$100 or more at the mall to earn one token for playing the game at the pop-up store, with a maximum of 5 tokens per receipt. The egg catcher contains three different styles of Ian the Rabbit keychains, featuring adorable designs that are highly collectible.
